We introduced a new feature called "WHAT's THAT?" in the April 18th Blog. It's an opportunity for those out in the Blog-O-Sphere to write in and ask questions about something that they have seen in the area that they are puzzled about or would like to learn more about.
Well, today we're putting a slight spin on the "WHAT's THAT?" feature by reversing things. I'm going to present an advertisement from the June 26, 1947 edition of the Tuckerton Beacon and ask the Blog readers WHAT'S THAT?
Tuckerton Beacon Advertisement - June 26, 1947
Here are a few questions for you to answer regarding the movie advertisement. If you've been reading the Blog, you should be able to answer most of these questions.
(1) Who was Joseph Magid?
(2) Where, in New Gretna, was his hall?
(3) Other than movies, what was his hall used for?
(4) Is his hall still standing, today?
(5) Have you ever been to a movie in Joseph Magid Hall? If so, tell us a little about it.
We'll be printing the answers on the Blog shortly, so let's hear from you.
