Not so many years ago they were considered pests and a bounty paid to kill them. I hope he has companions that show up soon. Seems like there was a PBS program about bald eagles not too long ago. They are quite entertaining. And as the photo shows, they are fish eagles. I hope no one local sees them as competition.<br />Where I live, we have seen the swallow tailed kite show up in recent years. Apparently, they used to be quite common here.
